Beyond the basics, the Advanced Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is your opportunity to add greater clarity and depth to your teaching and practice. Upon completing the program’s 50 hours of intensive practice and interactive workshops, you will not only have the technique and skills in Intermediate/advanced asanas, but also, if you are a teacher, you will gain more confident in safely teaching Intermediate/advanced level postures to your students.
This training is based on the principles of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. However, the training is open to practitioners from all traditions as the methods can be applied broadly to virtually any movement system.

The Advanced Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training is an intensive immersion into Intermediate/Advanced yoga techniques and the practical application in the modern yoga studio:

- Creative Vinyasa Sequencing
- Hands-On Adjustments for Advanced Poses
- Progression & Modification in Advanced Poses
- Anatomy of Advanced Yoga Poses
- Strategies for progress in the most difficult poses
- Advanced Prop Work
- Body Reading & Movement Screen
- Teaching Meditation & Pranayama in your classes
- Teaching Methodology
- Classroom management and how to motivate and inspire your students
Who Should Join
- Yoga teachers and movement professionals seeking a practical intensive where you will add many actionable skills to your teaching toolbox.
- Yoga practitioner who have a solid personal practice and interested in Intermediate/advanced level asanas. (It’s not necessary to have mastered all of the poses, but you should have a good foundation in yoga and working knowledge of key techniques such as breath and bandha.)
Daily Schedule
0730-0830 - Group Meditation, Pranayama, Prep
0830-1100 – Yoga Asana Practice/Teaching
1100-1230 – Lunch Break
1230-1300 - Theory & Philosophy Discussion
1300-1400 - Asana lab and Anatomy workshop
1400-1700 –Yoga Asana Practice/Teaching
At the completion of the course, there will be a practical exam followed by a graduation ceremony.
Certification
- Earn 50 Hours Yoga Alliance Continued Education Credit
- Work towards completion of your Yoga Alliance 300 Hour Certification
Adarsh Williams is an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher (KPJAYI - 2), Yoga Alliance teacher trainer (E- RYT 500), Mobility WOD coach, and founder of Monterey Yoga in California. With a diverse experience in the wellness field and over twenty years of professional experience, Adarsh has helped organizations and individuals develop programs around the world. He has led trainings and retreats in Europe, Middle East, US, and is currently the Program Director for SPACE, based in Shanghai. At SPACE, Adarsh has created and trained teachers in numerous innovative programs including Banded Mobility, Active Stretch and Sculpt Yoga.
A direct student of Pattabhi Jois, Adarsh received Authorization in 2004 and has completed numerous certifications with luminaries such as Richard Freeman & John Scott in yoga, Donald Scheumann in bodywork, and Dr. Kelly Starrett in movement and mobility.
Highly regarded for his sensitive, yet deep hands-on style, Adarsh has experience working with a wide variety of students of diverse abilities, ages, and backgrounds. With a deeply held belief that anyone can develop a personal yoga practice, he is an energetic teacher who infuses his enthusiasm for practice and hard work in others. His YouTube channel has become a popular resource in the fitness community and has led to the release of two feature-length instructional videos, Smart Stretch: Active Isolated Stretching & Ashtanga Yoga: Strength, Mobility, Skill.
