Jay has been practicing yoga for 13 years now. After he completed 200-hour teacher training with Stephen Thomas in 2010, his path of learning has never ceased. In 2012, he started studying anatomy in earnest when he attended related workshop with Doug Keller. He also took an anatomy course in Taipei Medical University in 2013, gaining further understanding of human biomechanics. In that same year, he attended his first immersion with Peter Scott. It initiated Jay onto the practice of Iyengar Yoga and he followed Peter to Australia and underwent intensive orthodox training in Iyengar Yoga.
With years of practice and rich teaching experience, Jay has high regard and understanding of student’s individuality. In teaching, he emphasizes practicing in a safe way. The intensity of the practice is not in the difficulty of the pose, but rather the depth of one’s inner observation. Through the practice of yoga, we can come to know our body and develop our awareness.
