**About Sarah Powers**

Sarah Powers has been teaching yoga since 1987. She is the founder of *Insight Yoga* and the author of the book *Insight Yoga* (Chinese translation: *内观瑜伽*). Sarah integrates insights and practices from yoga, Buddhism, Taoism, and transpersonal psychology into a holistic approach that nurtures body, mind, and spirit. Her yoga style blends the yin yoga of activating the meridians and organ tissues, with influences from vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Qigong, as well as a sun-based yang yoga practice. Sarah believes that activating the physical body, energy body, and learning to confront inner psychological patterns are equally important. This, she explains, helps each of us prepare to deeply connect with and nourish insights into our true inner nature—our awakened state of awareness. She also studies transpersonal psychology and has a profound practice in Buddhist teachings, particularly in the areas of insight meditation, tantric practices, and the Dzogchen (Great Perfection) teachings.
