Art of Sitting
Description
In this workshop the Art of Sitting in yoga postures will be explained in detail. We will look into the methods of using belts, blocks, blankets, mats and such props to help the student to work with different challenges in establishing correct seated postures for asana, pranayama and meditation. Relationship of such postures with other more dynamic postures will be examined. Every sitting posture has a physical stillness; within the stillness there are still organic and pranic dynamic actions. We will learn to work with these actions in stillness and to examine the psychological implications of such actions. We will also explore some ways of tuning into spiritual value of such effort.
