Through more than 20 years as a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga and manual therapy, Adarsh Williams has developed a unique approach focused on precise method, applied anatomy, and hands-on techniques that perfectly integrates functional training and self-care within a traditional yoga practice. Perfect for teachers and students, this series of workshops is full of progressions for newer students, refinements for experienced yogis, and many practical takeaways that you can immediately implement into your practice and teaching.

Saturday Morning
Floating, Flying & Fun

Decode various arm balancing poses (and other tricks) into their building blocks so you may balance on your hands and “float” through your practice with greater confidence. Along the way, you will pick up valuable tricks for tricky poses, lock down your jump-throughs and transitions, and fix your weak links, all while leveling-up your Ashtanga game.

Saturday Afternoon
Back Bends, now and forever!

You are only as young as your spine is flexible. This workshop will teach you the step-by-step progression from basic spine mobility to intermediate and advanced backbends. Here, the focus is increasing mobility of stuck joints, while building greater stability in overused areas that my lead to pain or injury down the road. Understand the foundation principles of backbends, while creating a youthful spine. Suitable for all levels.

Sunday Morning
The Vinyasa Machine

Incorporating meditation and pranayama into to your practice is a natural fit. Learn a simple sequence of centering and breath-work to prep your meditative flow, and how to implement this in your vinyasa practice. This Primary Series workshop is suitable for all levels, alternatives provided so everyone can play!

Self Care for the Yoga Body

This workshop focuses on recovery practices and self-maintenance to move better, increase body awareness, prevent injury and recover from existing conditions. This experiential workshop combines therapeutic movement and hands-on modalities in an interactive environment that is both personal and practical.

  • Identify postural, movement inefficiencies
  • Neuromuscular Stretching (AIS, PNF)
  • Tissue recovery & Self Mysofascia Release

Suitable for

Recommended to have at least 1 year of regular practice (minimum once a week).

Morning Session 9:00am-11:30pm
Afternoon Session 13:00pm-15:30pm

CE Credit

10 hours of CEU credits for Yoga Alliance.

Adarsh Williams is an Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher (KPJAYI - 2), Yoga Alliance teacher trainer (E- RYT 500), Mobility WOD coach, and founder of Monterey Yoga in California. With a diverse experience in the wellness field and over twenty years of professional experience, Adarsh has helped organizations and individuals develop programs around the world. He has led trainings and retreats in Europe, Middle East, US, and is a frequent guest teacher in SPACE YOGA, Taiwan and SPACECYCLE, China.

A direct student of Pattabhi Jois, Adarsh received Authorization in 2004 and has completed numerous certifications with luminaries such as Richard Freeman & John Scott in yoga, Donald Scheumann in bodywork, and Dr. Kelly Starrett in movement and mobility.

Highly regarded for his sensitive, yet deep hands-on style, Adarsh has experience working with a wide variety of students of diverse abilities, ages, and backgrounds. With a deeply held belief that anyone can develop a personal yoga practice, he is an energetic teacher who infuses his enthusiasm for practice and hard work in others. His YouTube channel has become a popular resource in the fitness community and has led to the release of two feature-length instructional videos, Smart Stretch: Active Isolated Stretching & Ashtanga Yoga: Strength, Mobility, Skill.
