Having worked under a high stressed enviroment in foreign business company, I found myself suffering from Thyroid Maladjustment, thus I started my first Hatha Yoga practice in Spring 2001. Gradually upon waking up, when I discovered symptoms gone such as dizziness, headache, loss of hair, and bad temper, I came to realize that yoga has helped me regain my long lost health without having to depend on medicine. From then on I have not stopped practicing yoga.
Since I have started practicing Ashtanga in 2004, it is where I set my focus.
I enjoy hearing my own breathe in coherent with each asana, moving from one posture to another, in graceful Zen like rhythms.
In my class, other than stressing on the combination of breath and movement, I would also like to send a message that yoga asana is not only a completion of exercise but a journey to discovering self. There is no perfect posture as each and every individual is unique. Worry not about bones being too stiff, too old of age, waist not bendable, or not being able to place a foot over the head... these should not be reasons to give up yoga. Relax your mind and be ready to discover a new self you may not know otherwise.
