Yogacittavrrtinirodhah – “Emptying the Garbage”
2012/3/12-16

All Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Students should know the Sutra 1:2 yogah cittavrtti nirodhah –‘ Yoga is the cessation of movements in the consciousness’. One way to achieve ‘yoga’ is to throw out the garbage of the conditioned mind, and to become completely focused on the transitions, the transition of the exhalation into the inhalation and the transition of inhalation into the exhalation. The recitation of the Counted Mantra will transform your conditioned practice into a Movement Meditation.

Through the Method and Principles of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as Taught by Shri K Pattabhi Jois, the focus of this Five-day Workshop is to bring the group together as One Breath/Body Movement, One Mind and One Consciousness, creating a transformative experience and a spiritual event. When a group of practitioners all come together through ‘The Count’ like the repetition of mantra, the individual mind clears and transcends to merge with the collective consciousness.

This training is suitable for all levels of students with at least 6 months consistent yoga practice.
