practitioner to propel their yoga to the next level.
A 5-day (27~31 May 2010), 35hr Teacher Training Intensive. Yoga is a transformational opportunity that guides students towards a level where the practice becomes a way of life, where deeper understandings are possible.
- 5 hrs per day in asana and prananyama practices
- Teacher Workshops on how to improve Observation and Adjustment skills
- Special sessions on Meditation and Sanskrit.
- Refining Alignment, and looking into Bio-Mechanics in Asana. Take your asana to another level and create movement patterns that promote safety, power and freedom in the body.
- Pranayama (theory and 2x daily practice in the early morning and evening)
- Discussion and Lectures into Yogic Philosophy and its application in a daily Yoga life
- Exploring Sanskrit, Chanting and Mantra to awaken and evolve the consciousness
This course includes morning chanting and meditation followed by pranayama and asana practice (am and pm). Lectures and workshops cover topics ranging from Sanskrit to Yoga philosophy in late morning sessions. Afternoon sessions explore bio-mechanics, “alignment for freedom and power”, and Teaching Methodology.
This is a level two course. Students must have an established level of practice and be comfortable with intermediate asanas including inversions. A basic understanding of theory and practice in pranayama (previous study) is also required.
Typical Daily Schedule

07:00am - 10:00am morning practices (morning rituals, pranayama, and asana)
11:30am - 01:00pm (morning lectures, discussions and philosophy)
(lunch break)
03:00pm - 06:00pm Afternoon workshops and practices
06:00pm - 07:00pm closing rituals, chanting, and pranayama /meditation
Please note:
- Students must submit an application to register
- It is open to all level 2 students who wish to deepen their understanding or practice, but all participating students are highly encouraged to have a dedicated practice.
- This program (35 hours) can be counted towards SPACE’s registered 300/500-hour Advanced Teacher Training Program.
