Join Stephen Thomas In Sri Lanka for 7 days of Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation deep within the heart of nature.
This special retreat offers both an inner and outer journey. Deepen your experience and understanding of Yoga first hand, and establish a re-union with nature in a profound and powerful way. Our time will take spent in the retreat centre, Ulpotha – immersed in nature and nourished by earth and organic home cooked meals. We will practice Asanas in the jungle, work deeper into our pranayama and explore the meditation techniques and Tantric practices of Kahsmir Shaivism using nature, the elements and our own powerful shakti.
The teachings and practices during this week will be at Level 2. It is recommended that participants have a solid awareness in asana, and a good level of understanding and experience in pranayama and meditation. An open heart and thirst for adventure is also recommended!

Stephen teaches a form of Hatha Yoga that is influenced by his years in the Ashtanga and Anusara Systems. He adds the influence of Tibetan Buddhism and the powerful, life affirming Yoga practices of Kashmir Shaivism.
Classes focus on the awakening and movement of energy (kundalini shakti), adding alignment principals as a way to refine the practice, prevent and heal injuries. When Stephen teaches, he incorporates asanas, pranayama, mudra, devotion and meditation techniques. The intention of his work is to present Yoga in its classical ancient form, as a way rediscovering our essential nature and awakening to our fullest potential in all aspects of life.
