Over the past twelve months Russell and Sally have been developing a workshop for Ashtanga students at Space to go beyond what is ordinarily taught in class.
Although this is the first time that they have offered their workshop series at Space they have taught similiar programs at yoga centers all over the world.
In this series of workshops they will help all students to find breakthroughs with their practice from the beginner to the daily practitioner. They will reveal how to:
- help breakthrough troublesome postures.
- overcome injury worries with alignment.
- relieve practice related anxiety.
This workshop will be taught over two full days and give students of all levels the opportunity to explore this life-changing method with teachers who between them have over twenty years daily practice with this tradition.

The Foundations of Practice: core strength, correct breathing, and focus.
Ever felt confused when asked to engage your core or bandha?
Ever experienced difficulty maintaining the breath through your practice?

We will teach you the secrets to the three most fundamental aspects of this method.

Secret of Surya Namaskara and Standing Sequence.
As we become familiar with our practice we can sometimes feel as if we are simply going through the motions.
We will explore the secret of unleashing your pranic flow.
Tap back into awareness as you approach the all-important first section of practice with fresh vigor.

The Art of Flying: jumping back, jumping through.
Will I ever jump-back or jump-through is a question we often hear from students and the answer is yes!
Understanding the science behind flying can revolutionize your experience.
We will explore how to experience lightness in all elements of our practice.
2:00~4:30pm
Back bending and Beyond!
Do you feel like hyperventilating when thinking about back-bending?
In this workshop we will break down individual elements of alignment.
We will share how to develop and extend your back and forward bends safely with control and comfort.
